Welcome to your Longhorn Run

Longhorn Run Coach Anthony Ferraro has designed eight-week training plans to help you cross your finish line. Whether this is your first or 100th race, choose between our Finish the Race or Race to the Finish training plans and reach your goals.


We invite you to join us for trainer-led workouts to complement your training.

STEP 2

get to know your Pace Chart

You'll find that your training plan has a recommended pace for your running days.


Refer to the pace chart within your training plan for guidance on how each run should feel.

STEP 3

train with us

Mark your calendar and join us for complimentary workouts on the UT campus. An RSVP will be required for all events, but participants will also have the opportunity to RSVP on site if needed. 


For your convenience, bag check will be available at all events.

Earn Rewards

1. The first 100 participants to check in for each event will receive the 2025 Training Tee.*


2. Each training event will have additional Nike giveaways and Enter to Win giveaways for attendees to receive at the end of the event. View the event details to see specifics.

 


*Sizes are first-come, first-served. Participants may only earn (1) training tee over the course of the 2025 training program.

Meet Your Coach: Anthony Ferraro 

Anthony Ferraro is a USATF and RRCA certified coach, as well as a former Nike+ Run Club Coach. He is also a Trainer certified by the American College of Sports Medicine and a RYT with Yoga Alliance. He believes the secret to be successful as an athlete has three components: hard work, attitude and comprehensive training.


Achievements by athletes under his care include participation in the 2016 Olympic Games, multiple qualifications to Olympic trials, and Team USA representation in Cross Country.


Anthony is a distance runner himself, and enjoys volunteering his time and skills to worthy causes in the community. His favorite activities include traveling, the arts and most any outdoor activities. His guilty pleasures include baked goods and pizza!
