The Longhorn Run Collective is where we run together. Whether you're lacing up for the first time or chasing a PR, we provide the coaching and a community that refuses to let you settle.

If you’re jumping in with less than 8 weeks to go, don’t start in the middle of the plan just to play catch-up. Start with the first two weeks instead. If those feel too easy, hop ahead one week at a time until you land on an effort that feels challenging but still doable. On the swing days, swap in some low-impact cardio—rower, elliptical, swimming, or cycling—so your heart and lungs get what they need, but you’re not overloading your legs and end up sidelined because you ramped up too fast!

Nicole McLagan, Ph.d. | Nicole doesn't just know how to run, she understands the science of how you move. With a PH.D. in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at Austin and a background as a D1 track and cross-country athlete, Nicole has provided the "why" behind every stride.

Join Us On Campus

Run Together

 Training is better together. Show up. Make Friends. Get faster. 

Mark your calendars and join us for community workouts. An RSVP will be required for all events. RSVPs will open one week before the event. Waitlisted attendees will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis as spots become available.

 

Bag check will not be available. Minimize what you bring with you.

 

We celebrate the work. Runners who show up and put in the effort at each event are eligible to earn exclusive swag and Nike gear.

Meet Your Coach: Anthony Ferraro 

Anthony Ferraro is a USATF and RRCA certified coach, as well as a former Nike+ Run Club Coach. He is also a Trainer certified by the American College of Sports Medicine and a RYT with Yoga Alliance. He believes the secret to be successful as an athlete has three components: hard work, attitude and comprehensive training.


Achievements by athletes under his care include participation in the 2016 Olympic Games, multiple qualifications to Olympic trials, and Team USA representation in Cross Country.


Anthony is a distance runner himself, and enjoys volunteering his time and skills to worthy causes in the community. His favorite activities include traveling, the arts and most any outdoor activities. His guilty pleasures include baked goods and pizza!
