The TexFit Annual Conference started at The University of Texas at Austin as a way for fitness professionals to share group fitness class choreographing. Now, 28 years later, TexFit has become a state-wide fitness conference providing fitness professionals with training opportunities, educational lectures, certification opportunities, and networking.
Self-pay parking for participants attending pre and post-conference sessions is available at University garages. We recommend parking at Brazos Garage (closest to Gregory Gym), Trinity Garage, or Manor Garage (the latter are closest to the Recreational Sports Center). No permit is required to park in the garages; just pull a ticket on your way in and process it at the exit, a paystation, or the garage office before you leave. Fees are calculated based on the amount of time you are in the garage. Click here for more information.Â
We expect it to be a busy day on campus with a variety of large scale events taking place. While complimentary parking will be available for conference attendees. We strongly encourage participants to carpool whenever possible. All participants will receive an email soon prompting drivers to submit a parking request form. Our team will then follow up with parking garage access information.Â

If your group is traveling to Austin via charter bus, Directors should email Adrienne Mackenzie. Adrienne will provide you with off-campus parking information for charter buses.Â

In this session, we will update the traditional strength and conditioning classes by adding multiple elements and equipment to create group-style circuit classes with specific class templates, using the tools of multi-muscular work, movements in multiple plains, and multi-directional patterns. This work will strengthen the muscles while improving heart health and increasing metabolism.
We will focus on exercises suitable for a circuit-style class with more functional movements that can translate better into everyday life, thus designing circuit classes that enhance the enjoyment of life
outside of the gym.
We must accomplish this with careful attention to form and proper safety cues. While this can be achieved more easily in one-on-one training, we will give special attention to how to do this effectively in a group fitness setting.
Learn how to harness the powerful benefits of Pilates reformer workouts without actually having to be on a reformer! Utilizing resistance bands, you will learn to recreate traditional reformer exercises on the mat.
The workshop focuses on building functional strength, improving posture, enhancing coordination, and is adaptable to participants of all fitness levels and body types.
The Human Reformer workout focuses on building functional strength, improving posture, and enhancing coordination, while catering to participants of all fitness levels and body types. As an instructor, teaching Human Reformer classes is accessible, cost-effective, and versatile, allowing you to expand your instructor toolbox and be even more creative with your programming.
